My Internet Bits | Week Three.

Hi guys!

How's everyone doing this week? :)

I feel like this week went by pretty fast...
The entire MONTH actually has gone by super fast!!

I'm kind of looking forward to April...!
It's getting warmer, it's staying light outside later,
and, it *hopefully* means I'm one step closer to finding a job
(yesyesyespleeeease)
... just ...

(I'm not crying, but I'll give it a 'hallelujah'.)

Phew, thank goodness we're not half way through 2014 yet -.-'

ANYways... I'm so glad people liked last week's "Internet Bits" post again!

So, this isn't really a new video as of this week, but it's still a really good one so I picked it anyways ;)
And, not gonna lie, I might just include another one of Myles' videos on one of these in the future...hah
He's such a good videographer, he's really funny, and lots of his videos (I find at least) have a tiny nugget of insightful-ness in them too which is an added bonus on top of it!

If you guys like all those British YouTubers who also do vlog-type videos, watch a couple of Myles' videos :)
(Yes, the lot of them, ie. Marcus Butler, Caspar Lee, Bertie Gilbert, Jack Howard, Charlieissocoollike, FunForLouis, etc etc...
there's a lot really... here's the list of my subscriptions if you feel like havin' a look)

Go for a little video-marathon on his channel :)
(I may or may not have done this on one or more occasion.)

It's my sister's birthday next week, and so I've been scouring the web to find inspiration for a creative present I can make for her, and came across some beautiful picture DIYs!!
I "liked a bunch on my Pinterest page, one of which was this creative picture-memory idea!
So cute, right?!

I don't know how much I'd write for each month hehe but it's sure a good idea! Even as a year-end gift even - like a look back on the year!! :)

I might've worked in another VIDEO this week! Haha no rules here ;)

It's a tweet by Jack Harries of a "short film" (very short, like less than 2 minutes) for a travel company I believe - I favourited it on a whim as I like a good travel video, and this was a good 'un.

My Internet Bits | Week Two.

Here we are guys!
We're officially into the first week of Spring!!

Hope everyone's is off to a good start!
(although there were a couple mentions of hail and general coldness in the social bloggers chat today...
hopefully those subside soon!)

I must say, this week I didn't spend a whole lotta time on the webs
as I'm realllly trying to ramp up the quest that is "finding-a-job"...!!

It was awesome that some people commented on my previous (& 1st) "Internet Bits" post :)
I really did have fun putting it all together!
So, I thought I'd do another and see how long I can keep this now two-week old tradition going for ;)

I actually stumbled across this song about a month ago and instantly thought it was amazing - the sound, the lyrics, just how upbeat it is, and motivating even! - but then it kinda got pushed back with all my new songs.
The past couple of days though, I've been really into it again though, liking the whole "inspiring message" it has!

So it's been a minute or two ... but I'm here guys!
I haven't posted in a couple weeks, but I've stopped by a couple Twitter chats, so you might've seen me around there in my short blogging-absence :)

Now, before you all say,
"...Oh, well just type out what you want to say then..."

Sometimes, it's just not the same, ya know?!

I mean, I feel like it all makes perfect sense in my head,
but then, when I sit down ready to write it out,
it just doesn't always sound as good...
(Ughh, writer problems. Am I right?)

"Why do YOU blog?"

Over the past 2 months, I've found a ton of new blogs

but lately, I've really been trying to branch out in terms of the different types of blogs I search for and read.

Since doing so, I've started to notice just how many different types of blogs AND BLOG WRITERS there are out there!

...Beauty-lovers, fashion-admirers, trend-setters, anecdote-sharers, kitchen-creators, world-travellers, adventure-seekers, daily-recorders, advice-givers, story-tellers...

People are motivated to write & share posts by lots of different things - it might depend on the content they publish or even just what they hope to achieve from blogging down the road.

All you bloggers out there have found a REASON to blog!

Something that made you start, and something that makes you keep going.

If someone asked you, what would you say?

"It's...

Cathartic

An escape

Like a diary

A free hobby

Something I can take with me anywhere

A little space of the internet all to myself

Convenient seeing as I'm on the internet a lot anyways...!"

"It helps me...

improve my writing

improve my photography skills

track my progress - goals, cooking, fitness, school, whatever I want!"

"It's somewhere I can...

give advice

make people laugh

make people think

share my experiences

share what I'm passionate about

find people with similar interests!"

Perhaps it's just somewhere you can write what you want, when you want.

Maybe it's somewhere you can truly express yourself how you'd really like to.

For everyone, I think it's a little different, but it's interesting to find out WHY your favourite bloggers really do blog, and what makes them post what they do.

From an "outsider's" perspective, I can see why it would be interesting to know why so many people do blog.

And from an "insider's" perspective, I can acknowledge each individual person's reason(s) for blogging, and can even understand why some bloggers choose to keep their blogs anonymous. (*high five!*)

Yes, potential readers might care how often you post, and your views might be higher if you post about certain topics, but, I think my point of this entire post is just
to blog if YOU want to blog, and blog about what YOU want to blog about.

If you want to blog, go for it! When that spark's gone though, that's okay too.
Whatever motivates you, keep that in mind.
